User Data Deletion
Last updated: 2026-09-26
You can have your PoyoMusic account and the data linked to it permanently deleted. Choose whichever option suits you.
Option 1: delete it yourself in the web app
- Sign in to PoyoMusic on the web and open Account.
- Scroll to "Delete account" and press "Delete my account".
- Confirm with your password (or, if you signed in with Google, Facebook or Apple and have no password, by typing your username).
- Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2: request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my PoyoMusic account". Send it from the email address on the account (or, for Facebook sign-in, tell us your Facebook name and the username you used) so we can confirm it is you. We will delete the account and reply to confirm, within 30 days.
If you signed in with Facebook
You can also remove PoyoMusic from your Facebook settings (Settings, Apps and Websites); Facebook then sends us a deletion request and we delete the linked PoyoMusic account automatically. You can also use either option above.
What gets deleted
- Your account record: username, email, display name, hashed password and linked Google, Facebook or Apple identifiers.
- Your playlists and the songs in them, and your liked songs.
- Pending verification and password-reset tokens, and your active login sessions.
What is not deleted
The shared music catalogue (track titles and links) is not personal data and is kept. Standard server logs contain no account content and rotate automatically. Information stored only on your own device (history, downloads, settings) is removed by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
