About PoyoMusic

Last updated: 2026-09-26

PoyoMusic is a free music streaming service for the music of Sierra Leone: bubu, gumbe, afropop, highlife, hip-hop, gospel and more, on the web at poyomusic.com and as an Android app.

Where the music comes from

• YouTube: songs are played through YouTube's official embedded player, so plays count for the artist on YouTube.
• Jamendo: independent music released under Creative Commons licences, through Jamendo's public API.
• PoyoMusic uploads: tracks we host only with the artist's recorded consent. Artists can ask us to remove a track at any time.

Your account

You can listen without an account. An account lets you like songs, build playlists and play across your devices. You can create one with a username and password, or sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple using their official sign-in pages, which run on google.com, facebook.com and apple.com.

PoyoMusic never asks for the password of your Google, Facebook, Apple or email account, never asks you to install software, and never asks for payment details. If a page claiming to be PoyoMusic asks for any of these, it is not us.
